What brought me here

My passion

If I could share a message with the whole world, it would be that one: God wants to make things better for you! My passion is to allow people to get to know God, but also to help them talk to others about Him.

I want to share here what brought me here, because I believe God has prepared and led me for a long time so I could get here… just like he is leading me today towards tomorrow's plans!

Campus pour Christ and Alpha

2015 -

I did not think I would stay after my internship, but God gave me a conviction that I belonged there for now.

After a few years, I am more than ever convinced that I am in the right place! Many people who support me financially make it possible. Thank you!

Internship at Alphalive

2014 - 2015

I met my current boss Emmanuel Voeffray when I was a teenager. He was the speaker at my first Christian youth camp, where I gave my life to Jesus. We then worked together for different projects in Geneva.
As I was looking for work in 2014, he approached me to offer me a position as an intern at Alpha. I'd been praying to find a job and had told God about several things that were on my heart about my future work. The position corresponded to nearly all of these points! Without a doubt, I had to take it.

Teaching studies at the University of Geneva

2009 - 2014

I learned many things during this training to become a primary school teacher. I have developed very useful skills and lived rich and varied experiences. When I started the studies, I was sure I wanted to become a teacher, but when I finished I felt that it wasn't where I belong (at least for now). I never regretted doing these studies: I still use the skills I developed on a daily basis!

During this training, I was able to live a one-year university exchange in Sydney. What a wonderful opportunity!

Other ministry projects

I have been involved in several volunteer Christian projects. They helped me to grow in my faith and develop various skills. Above all, they helped me realise what topics are close to my heart and to make the decisions that led me here.

Chaplain in a children's camp

2016 - 2018

Before taking on this role, I was first a participant then a manager for a total of 14 years. Overall, I have lived there over 6 months! As a chaplain, we try to be close to the children, the managers, the volunteers (cooks, …) and the leaders of the camp. I really loved this role! Unfortunately I feel the need to move on and I am looking for someone to replace me.

Easter "Serve the city" camps in Geneva

2011 - 2016

Over the years, I climbed the leadership ladder step by step, from participant to co-leader of the camp. I learned to manage a team and a (big) project. I also discovered my heart for sharing the Gospel, for unity among Christians and for families. After a break, I have started taking part in the same camp in Lausanne in 2018.

Youth group and youth camp leader

2007 - 2012

After being a participant in this youth group for 5 years and growing a lot in my faith, I had the joy of joining the leadership team. That's where my organisation skills became evident ;-) I keep wonderful memories of the many camps I was able to organise with friends who still matter a lot to me.

Children's camp leader

I took part in different Christian camps as a volunteer and in non-confessional camps to earn some money. They were all very fun, but also great opportunities to invest in the lives of many children and young people.

Other jobs

I also learned many things through these various experiences:

Teacher and casual teacher in primary schools

2009 - 2017

One develops many talents while teaching (and even some survival skills ;-) ). I had the chance to work in many schools, with some teaching jobs that lasted several months. It is very touching to work with the same pupils for a long period of time.

Nanny and au-pair

2008 ; 2013

My three jobs as a nanny or au-pair have all been unforgettable. I grew in my housekeeping skills and my capacity to do several things at once. At the same time, I tried to invest to the best of my abilities in the lives of 6 children aged 3 months to 7 years. What a privilege to have worked among these families!

Barista

2012

My interest for good coffee and its fascinating world has developed even more in that job. It was very intense, but I loved the very practical aspects of the work and customer service. Making people happy with a good coffee, I would love to do that again someday!

Checkout assistant

2009 - 2011

I liked how nice most customers were and the countless anecdotes we shared among colleagues about some customers or their weird questions. My willingness to work well was appreciated and opened doors for me to sometimes work in other areas of the supermarket: stocking the aisles, helping at the florist's department, … to me it was a welcome change!

Tutor

2004 - 2008

Tutoring was my first teaching experience, when I was a high-school student. I enjoyed being able to support and encourage younger students on a regular basis, during a whole school year!
